Marketing and Communications Manager

Pharmacy First is in need of a talented professional to be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a brand strategy plan, including internal and external communication strategies for the organization. The duties include managing external communication channels including social media platforms, company websites and media relations, writing copy for company newsletters and memos and adhering to the company’s brand by publishing content and marketing materials.

 

The Marketing and Communications Manager responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for outbound communication plans, press releases, newsletters etc.
  • Maintains all external and internal marketing materials.
  • Manages the Pharmacy First website content and social media marketing channels.
  • Implements and oversees various project management functions and works with appropriate individuals across the organization to ensure execution of marketing and sales campaigns and brand strategies.
  • Liaison with external marketing and communications firm to implement communications plans and tactics.
  • Consult with Leadership Team to develop tactical plans for ongoing communications.
  • Lead in sourcing content and writing for Pharmacy First’s marketing campaigns and newsletters.
  • Write letters, interdepartmental memos and other business correspondence
  • Develop materials to educate staff on communication practices
  • Coach and assist team members on improving communication skills
  • Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies

  • Proactive, organized and detail orientated person who can prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • In-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy and social media
  • Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments
  • Advanced data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field is required
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, including but not limited to email, web, direct marketing, social media, .com, PR, content and collateral development, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and computer software proficiency, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in MailChimp, WordPress, Adobe Illustrator/InDesign to create and maintain work product

Compliance Auditor

Pharmacy First is in need of a talented professional to assist our Managed Care team by being proactive in reducing the causes of deficits and identifying potential audit targets by utilizing database tools and reports in collaboration with pharmacies and payers. The individual in this role will be responsible for administering these tools, including oversight of the audit process and architecture, conducting pharmacy outreaches in conjunction with other team members, providing audit quality control, and finalizing and summarizing audit results. The Compliance Auditor will work with the Pharmacy Review Committee and have the opportunity to develop new audit programs and processes as business needs require.

 

The Compliance Auditor responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop educational materials that provide information on PBM guidelines and audit triggers
  • Provide pre-audit consultation and assistance and audit preparations
  • Serve as liaison between the pharmacy and the PBM during and/or after an audit
  • Develop relationships with wholesaler and PBM audit teams to facilitate the sharing of concerns and allow for proactive responses
  • Review audit reports and determines potential risk of overpayments/deficits
  • Handle incoming calls from retail pharmacies and providers related to audit requests providing problem resolution when necessary in a timely and professional manner
  • Research and resolve direct requests from pharmacies related to outstanding payments
  • Assist with necessary communications with PBMs to discuss and correct discrepancies
  • Identify issues that require additional investigation, evaluation and/or escalation to management; ensure appropriate follow-up with payers and pharmacies

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communications with coworkers, senior staff and affiliate pharmacies.
  • Effective analytical, oral and written communication and organizational skills
  • Systems and software proficiency, including Word, Excel and Access

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Fraud Examiner certification preferred
  • Knowledge of PBM industries and PBM claims processing systems
  • In-depth understanding of the types of PBM audits and PBM audit triggers
  • Previous pharmacy experience with preferably at least two years as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Pharmacy services background, including knowledge of prescription drugs and specialty products
